Today, we are featuring one of the drinks that we served 4 years ago at the proof whisky launch party at Roots. We have named it after Mr. Coupland because our party was happening amidst the also freshly launched ‘Roots x Douglas Coupland Collection’. And, not to mention, we are HUGE fans. the coupland 1 1/2 oz proof whisky • 1 oz lemon juice • 1 tbsp. cranberries (frozen & thawed) • 1/2 oz maple syrup • 2 oz Ocean Spray® Cranberry Cocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add proof whisky, lemon juice, cranberries (frozen & thawed) maple syrup and Ocean Spray® Cranberry Cocktail. Shake sharply and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon and cranberry skewer.

More than four years ago, we launched proof whisky amidst the collection of two of our favourite Canadian icons — Roots Canada and Douglas Coupland.

Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything is the first major survey of the work Coupland has created since 2000. 

The exhibition is a first-time partnership between the Royal Ontario Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art. Check it out this weekend. (rom.ca, mocca.ca)
